Kings Honouring 1970-71 Champs

The Dresden Kings are slated to honour the 1970-71 Ontario Hockey Association champions with an open house on December 29.

The event marks the 50th anniversary of the provincial Junior C champions.

Players and family members are invited to a 5pm event, which will be followed by a game between the Dresden Kings and Blenheim Blades.

The 1970-71 Kings were paced by Rick Chinnick who would play at the NHL level with the Minnesota North Stars.

Dresden beat the Bowmanville Red Eagles in the final that season.
