Kings Shutout At Home

By Wyatt Williams

In front of a decent number of fans, the Dresden Kings dropped their home game by a 4-0 score to the Blenheim Blades. It was an entertaining game with both teams goaltenders having solid games.

One has to wonder in these trying times of Covid19, with the World Junior Championship tournament taking place in Alberta being
stopped just a couple days into pool play, how much longer are we going to be able to get out and catch a local junior hockey game. I hope
somehow things turn around, but I really fear things are not looking good. Scanning the PJHL and GOHL score board, you will see a lot of
games being postponed, and we all know why, but lets keep our fingers crossed for the kids and the fans to safely get through this season.
In Dresden the Blades Evan Wells had a pair of goals, with singles going to Zach Van Boxtel , and Trent Amaro. Blades goaltender Jake Vancoillie posted a shutout facing 23 shots. Dresden goaltender Owen Lemieux had a solid game stopping 37 of 40 shots. One Blades goal was
an empty netter.
