Video: Cyclones Fall To Knights

By Matt Pepper

On a chilly Sunday night, it was a tale of two teams.

One of which is the London Jr. Knights who have dominated the Alliance U16 season and are a highly ranked threat for the OHL Cup.

The other is the Chatham – Kent Cyclones who have struggled out of the game this year and haven’t found their footing this year.

In a lopsided victory, London took this contest 7-0, showing dominance at both ends of the rink.  Underage phenom Ryan Roobroeck was an absolute force in this game, hitting the score sheet multiple times, showing a blend of skill and power moves.

London boasts other skilled players who dominated this game as well in Jett Luchanko and defenseman Lucas Line who both racked up the point totals in this one.

Cyclones standout Aidan Edwards continues to impress, even in defeat.  A player who can do everything on the ice from offense, to defense, and provide energy for his team.  No matter what the score is, he is worth watching from a scouting perspective.  He will be an interesting watch come the OHL Draft as he will complement any organization he is chosen by.

The Cyclones will close out the season against the Windsor Jr. Spitfires.  Chatham will then play Sun County in a playoff series.
