Brochu Undergoes Surgery, Remains Out

Local netminder Brett Brochu has been sidelined with the London Knights, and the team is struggling without their star goaltender.

In the past two seasons, Brochu has backstopped and provided stability for the London Knights. Statistically, he has been among league leaders in both goals against average and save percentage. His rookie season, he set an OHL record for wins by a rookie goaltender.

This year, he was named to Team Canada’s World Junior roster and started against Austria at the tournament before it was cancelled due to COVID.

Brochu, who underwent minor surgery is expected to be out until the end of the regular season, with an aim at returning for the playoffs.
