PJHL Teams Move to “Tier 2” Playoffs
For the first time ever, local Junior C hockey will continue beyond the traditional playoffs with a new “Tier 2” playoff round.
Locally, the Blenheim Blades and Dresden Kings chose to participate in this new Provincial Junior Hockey League endeavour, while the Wallaceburg Thunderhawks have not.
Blenheim was eliminated from the PJHL playoffs by the Mooretown Flags, while Dresden failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Petrolia Flyers will also participate.
Each team will play two games against each other, with the top two teams from the round robin then advancing to a best-of-seven playoff series.
