Park, Mairs In Centennial Cup

Chatham-Kent hockey players Alexander Park. and Brendan Mairs will take part in the Canadian Junior A championship, Centennial Cup this week.

The tournament features the league champions from every Junior A league in Canada except the BCHL.

Park, a defender had 10 points in 45 games for the CCHL champion Ottawa Jr. Senators.

Mairs plays for Alberta’s Brooks Bandits, the AJHL champions. This season he scored 13 goals and 32 points in 55 regular season games for Brooks.

In opposite pools, the two cannot face each other until the elimination rounds. The Centennial Cup runs from May 19 until May 29 in Saskatchewan.
