Abby Stonehouse Makes Canada’s U18 Team
Blenheim’s Abby Stonehouse will skate with Hockey Canada’s U-18 women’s team at the upcoming U18 Series against Team USA after making the Canadian roster.
Stonehouse played for the London Devilettes in the OWHL U22 Elite League last season. In her first full season at the level, Stonehouse accumulated 12 goals and 22 points in 24 games.
This past season, three London Devilettes represented the gold medal winning U-18 team for Canada serving as teammates of Stonehouse’s this year in London. They were Madison Chantler, Emmalee Pais, and Jocelyn Amos.
Amos will again play for Canada, as will another London Devilettes product, Keira Hurry. Stonehouse is one of nine 2006 born players on the roster, with the remainder born in 2005.
The roster was selected from the recent camp held in Alberta from August 3-14.
