You would not know the Tilbury Bluebirds are an expansion team by their results to date, as currently they own first place with a 7-1 record. Saturday in Tilbury the visiting Platsville Lakers encountered rough water and were handed a convincing 10-2 defeat. Plattsville did, however bounce back and collect their first win of the season, Sunday in Delhi.

Saturday however the game was all Bluebirds as they out shot the Lakers by a 76-23 margin. Several Bluebirds had multi goal performances. Mitch VanTeeling had a hat trick, and Vyacheslav Chegrintsev had a pairof goals. Singles went to Nick Tetreault, Erik Winter, Justin Arnold, and Brock Grandbois. Travis Winkworth added the final marker of the night. This game did get a little chippy later in the game with a couple mix ups, but the officials did a good job of controlling game.

The Bluebirds host the Strathroy Jets this coming Saturday, 7:30 puck drop. This should be a good game as the Bluebirds suffered their only loss to the Jets (8-4 late in Oct), and will want some revenge.
