Cyclones Need Big Weekend Before Holiday Break

By Matt Pepper

The Chatham-Kent Cyclones currently have a 4-10-3 record, two points back of the Cambridge Hawks who currently hold the final playdown spot and have a pivotal week upcoming.

The Cyclones will host the second place Windsor AAA Zone who have been one of the most dominant teams in the Alliance this year.  Led by power forward Reyth Smith and some sound defensive play, and timely goal tending, they have been a force all year for opposing teams.

The Cyclones are coming off a split weekend in their last set of games on December 3rd and December 4th, with a 4 – 0 loss to the Elgin – Middlesex Canucks and a 3 – 0 win over the Hamilton Huskies.  Lucas Laprise and Everitt Swayze have both seen their games rise and were dominant against the Huskies.

Both games against Windsor will be played in Chatham at Memorial Arena.  Sunday, December 18th at 4:45 PM and Wednesday, December 21st at 7:30 PM.
