Golden Hawks dominate in girls’ volleyball AAA final
The CKSS Golden Hawks downed the Ursuline Lancers in three sets to capture the LKSSAA senior girls’ volleyball AAA final 25-18, 25-11, 29-27.
CK was down by seven in Game 1 and used determination, communication, and respect (their team values this year) to come back and win the game. In Game 2 they came out of the gates and didn’t look back. Game 3 was a battle.
Kenzie Lahey, Riley Graham and Teya Meredith led the team’s offense but Cassandra Newcombe and Peyton Cundle did an amazing job at the net in middle. Rowan Agar also showed she deserved to be on the court
The team, made up of starters in Grades 10 and 11, is just getting started. CK will play Holy Names next on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Windsor.
