Wallaceburg hosts Kent Cup of Curling

On Saturday, March 18, the Sydenham Community Curling Club in Wallaceburg played host to the 2023 Kent Cup of Curling.
For the first time ever, co-champions were declared in the team-based event. Blenheim’s Golden Acres Curling Club and the Chatham Granite Club both achieved 15 points. The Sydenham Community Curling Club took in 12 points, while the Ridgetown Golf & Curling Club were shutout of the points.
The Kent Cup of Curling is an annual event that brings the four Chatham-Kent curling clubs together for a day of camaraderie and competition. Each year, the hosting duties are taken on by one of the clubs on a rotational basis.
Past champions of the Kent Cup are Blenheim (2020), and Chatham (2022). There was no event in 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
