Jr. Kings name Oliveira as new head coach

A new boss will be behind the bench for the Dresden Jr Kings.

Mike Oliveira has been named the PJHL team’s head coach for the 2023-24 season.

A West Lorne native, Oliveira played four seasons with Kingston in the OHL. He then moved to Europe, where he spent 10 years playing in Norway and Denmark.

The Dresden Kings finished in seventh place in the Stobbs Division this past season with a record of 9-31-2, and were swept by Lakeshore in the first round of the playoffs.
