Dr. Jack Parry Award Nominees — Emma Dufour
Leading up to the annual Dr. Jack Parry Awards ceremony on June 15, CKSN will celebrate Chatham-Kent’s top student-athletes by featuring each local school’s nominees for 2023.
Throughout Emma Dufour’s scholastic career at Tilbury District High School, she has possessed an overwhelming commitment to academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities.
Not only has she achieved tremendous averages, but she has also received recognition for her performance in athletics. She has twice received the Senior Female Athlete of the Year while continuing to be committed to her community, volunteering with various agencies in the Tilbury area.
Emma embodies the characteristics that make Dr. Jack Parry an inspiration. Her sincere compassion for the betterment of her classroom, athletic teams, and community is an example to us all.

Since 1994, Chatham Kent has recognized the top male and female graduating student athletes in each school. At the annual ceremony recognizing these top graduates, one male and one female are awarded the Dr. Parry Award along with a post secondary scholarship.
The award recognizes a balanced high degree of athletic ability, scholastic excellence, and contributions outside of the classroom to the school and community — a balance Dr. Parry himself embodied during his illustrious life.
Emma is my grand daughter so I am a bit biased…..she is everything that has been said about her and more. She strives for perfection in everything she does but always looks out for others supporting them and cheering them on. I am beyond proud of her achievements and have had the pleasure of watching her grow and blossom into a caring and giving young woman. Wishing her success in all that she does.
