Dr. Jack Parry Award Nominees — Ethan VanDerMeersch

Leading up to the annual Dr. Jack Parry Awards ceremony on June 15, CKSN will celebrate Chatham-Kent’s top student-athletes by featuring each local school’s nominees for 2023.

Ethan VanDerMeersch

Ethan is a hard-working student-athlete. He has been a major contributor to the baseball, volleyball and track & field teams over the years at Ursuline College advancing to OFSAA in volleyball and track.

Ethan is a grinder who is willing to take on any role needed for his team. He is a strong student with consistent marks well over 90% throughout high school.

Ethan has made the most of his leadership opportunities within UCC and has transferred those skills learned to give back to his community, minor sports organizations and elementary schools.

Ursuline College is very proud to nominate Ethan VanderMeersch for the Dr. Parry Award.

Since 1994, Chatham Kent has recognized the top male and female graduating student athletes in each school. At the annual ceremony recognizing these top graduates, one male and one female are awarded the Dr. Parry Award along with a post secondary scholarship.

The award recognizes a balanced high degree of athletic ability, scholastic excellence, and contributions outside of the classroom to the school and community — a balance Dr. Parry himself embodied during his illustrious life.
