Butzer adds another win in third stop of Jamieson Tour

The Jamieson Junior Golf Tour made its third stop of the season on Sunday at Willow Ridge Golf Club. The course was playing long from the overnight rain and challenging with the strong wind conditions.

In the Junior Girl’s Division, Hannah Butzer took home her second victory of the season with a five-over-par 77. Butzer bested Kassandra Rombouts (Maple City) and Madeline Young (Kingsville) who both shot 79. Vanessa Ardovini (University of Windsor/Roseland) finished third shooting 81.

In the Junior Boy’s Division, Max Gavric (Essex) captured his first Jamieson Tour win with a three-over-par 75. Henrik Mingay (Essex) was second with a 4-over-par 76. In third, Andrew Baker (Kingsville) finished with 77.

In the Collegiate Men’s Division, Shawn Sehra (Roseland) captured his first win of the season with a three-over-par 75 to win by one over Austin Brancaccio (Detroit Mercy/Essex) and Steven Hill (University of Windsor/Essex). In third, Brandon Allen (Kingsville) finished with 77.

Rounding out play in the Collegiate Women’s Division, Kennedy Fremlin (University of Windsor/Essex) took home her first victory of the season. Fremlin fired a seven-over-par 79.

The Jamieson Tour is back in action on Monday, July 17 at Ambassador Golf Club for the fourth event of the 2023 season.
