CK Youth take part in Ontario Summer Development basketball tournament

Two Chatham boys represented the Huron region at the Ontario Summer Development basketball tournament.

Isaiah Francis and Braelen Baylis were among 11 selected athletes who participated in the tournament held at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre last week.

As part of the Ontario Summer Development Program, the boys received 30 hours of regional training before making the final cut to compete in the culminating event, where they faced tough competition from across the province. The team finished second in their pool before falling short in the bronze medal game.

Isaiah and Braelen are both members of the Chatham Kent Wildcats basketball club. Their athletic performance and show of good sportsmanship represented their club well.
