Hawryluk qualifies for national championship

Maple City Golf and Country Club’s Mat Hawryluk competed in the Ontario Men’s Amateur Championship last week and finished in a tie for 10th place.

Mat shot -3, seven shots behind the winner Cameron Pero from Picton.

Over the four-day tournament, Mat shot 73-71-69-72.

With his 10th place finish, Mat has earned a spot in the upcoming national championship.

The Canadian Men’s Amateur championship will be held at The Pulpit Club from August 7-10.
