The Jamieson Tour made its first stop of the season on Monday at Seven Lakes Golf Club in Windsor.

A combination of wind and difficult course conditions provided a solid test for all the players.

In the Junior Girl’s Division, Hannah Butzer (Maple City) took home the victory with a very impressive 2-under-par 69. Butzer bested Olivia Tartaro (Essex) by 13 shots, who finished with 82. Ella Harris (Essex) and Lauren Purves (Beach Grove) were third with rounds of 83.

In the Junior Boy’s Division, Cale Marontate (Kingsville) finished with a 1-over-par 72 to claim the victory. Finlay Burns (Essex) was second with a 2-over-par 73. In third, Nicholas Brophey (Erie Shores), Carter Gouin (Belleview), and Jackson Policicchio all finished with 74.

In the Collegiate Men’s Division, we had a three-way tie for first. Austin Brancaccio (Detroit Mercy/Essex), Steven Hill (University of Windsor/Essex), and Luke Tatomir (Kingsville) all finished with rounds of 1-over-par 72. Brancaccio made a par on the first playoff hole to secure his first collegiate victory of the season.

Rounding out play in the Collegiate Women’s Division, Hannah Meloche (Davenport University) and Kennedy Fremlin (University of Windsor/Essex) both finished with rounds of 3-over-par 39. Meloche birdied the first playoff hole to win her first event of the summer.
