Jordan leading receiver in OUA
Chatham’s Ethan Jordan is putting together another outstanding season playing football for the Wilfred Laurier Hawks.
The receiver led the Ontario University Athletics league in receptions with 60 and also led the league in receiving yards with 749.
Jordan, a grad of Chatham-Kent Secondary School, built on a successful 2022 season where he had 52 catches for 643 yards. He was named the Golden Hawks MVP last season, as well as a U Sports Football Second Team All-Canadian and OUA Football First Team all-star.
Jordan and the Golden Hawks will kick off their playoffs with a Battle of Waterloo, taking on their neighbours the Waterloo Warriors in an OUA quarterfinal on Saturday.
Laurier had a successful regular season going 7-1, with their only loss was a close game in their regular season finale against the Western Mustangs.
Along with Jordan, the Golden Hawks also have Chatham’s Darian Bacik-Hadden on their roster. Bacik-Hadden is a running back.
