Campbell named team MVP at PJHL Prospects Game

Dracen Campbell received the Team West MVP award at the PJHL Prospects Game held in Wingham on Nov. 4, 2023.

Wallaceburg’s Dracen Campbell was named the West Team MVP at the Provincial Junior Hockey League prospects game held in Wingham on November 4.

Team North beat Campbell’s Team West 4-2. Chatham’s Everitt Swayze scored for Team West.

Team East and Team South played in Uxbridge the same day. The annual showcases bring together the top 16- and 17-year-old players in the PJHL.

Campbell, a Wallaceburg District Secondary School student, is having a strong rookie season with the Mooretown Flags. In 14 games Campbell, a defenceman, has four goals and 12 assists for 16 points.

Campbell is somewhat of a rarity amongst junior hockey players, in that he’s a standout athlete in four sports (golf, hockey, lacrosse and basketball).
