Sara Hazell named PWSA’s volunteer of the year

Sara Hazell does a lot of everything for the Chatham Minor Girls Softball Association.

She is the organization’s president, co-treasurer and manager of a Rep. Team.

She was recently honoured and recognized by the Provincial Women’s Softball Association as their 2023 volunteer of the year.

A message on the Chatham Girls Minor Girls Softball Association Facebook page sums up Hazell’s dedication, “the amount of hats Sara wears for our association and the softball community in Chatham-Kent is commendable, and often unbelievable!

She is a do’er through and through and we are so thankful for all she has done for the future of fastball.”

Hazell (nee Neve), is a graduate of Wallaceburg District Secondary School and St. Clair College. At St. Clair she was a member of the women’s softball team.
