Deni Goure has record-setting night
Grande Pointe’s Deni Goure had an incredible night on Thursday in the Owen Sound Attack’s 10-2 win over the Niagara IceDogs.
Goure set an Attack franchise record with eight points in a single game, putting up three goals and five assists; the previous record was seven set by Jim Ensom in 1996 and Cameron Brace in 2012.
Goure’s eight points are the most in an OHL game since Nov. 16, 2006 when Toronto’s Matt Caria had three goals and five assists.
Now in his fourth and final season with Owen Sound, it was Goure’s first OHL hat-trick.
