Express playing exhibition game in Chatham

The Windsor Express professional basketball team is playing an exhibition game in Chatham on Jan. 6.

The game will take place at the St. Clair College Sportsplex.

The event is billed as the Southwest Showcase and is presented by local businesses The Closet Inc. and Chatham Barbershop. By partnering with the businesses, the game’s general admission tickets are free and there is a limited amount available by going to the Express’ website www.windsorexpress.ca.

Courtside tickets are also available at $20.

The Express will play Milwaukee NPBA Elite at 7 p.m. Before the exhibition pro game, the Ursuline Lancers boys basketball team will play against St. Anne Saints at 4:30 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m.

The Express joined the Basketball Super League for the 2023-24 season.

The Express fell to the London Lightning in the fifth and deciding game of the final NBL of Canada final in May.
