Lancers lose in quarter-finals of McMaster tourney

The Ursuline Lancers senior girl’s volleyball team participated in the McMaster girl’s high school tournament on Monday.

The Lancers lost in the quarter-finals to eventual champion Burlington Corpus Christi (25-22, 25-19).

Ursuline finished second in their pool to advance to the playoffs.

The Lancers beat Orchard Park (25-9, 25-15), split with London Saunders (25-22, 19-25), beat York (25-14, 25-14) and beat Newman (25-12, 25-13).

Chatham-Kent Golden Hawks also participated in the tournament and went 0-2-1 in pool play.
