Barnstormers go Strong
The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers announced they have signed infielder Seth Strong.
Strong is the third player signed by the Barnstormers, who will begin their inaugural season in the Intercounty Baseball League in May.
Strong hails from Huber Heights Ohio, which is a suburb of Dayton. Strong is the second import player signed by Chatham, as they are allowed to have four imports on their roster.
The 27-year-old Strong has a reputation as a slugger who hits the ball hard from the left side of the plate. The six-foot-three, 230lbs Strong has appeared in 144 professional games in the Pecos, Frontier and Pioneer leagues.
Strong has put up impressive stats in the pro game, with a .360 batting average, 26 home runs, and 162 RBI. He can play both first base and third base, as well as catcher if needed.
