Barnstormers sign Goodwin
The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers have signed their fourth player for this upcoming Intercounty Baseball League season.
The Barnstormers announced the signing of Sadler Goodwin from Cordova Tennessee.
Goodwin will be turning 27 years-old in a couple of weeks. The six-foot-three, 204 lbs Goodwin played four years of NCAA baseball, one year at Tennessee-Martin and three years at Troy. His best year was his senior year at Troy, where he hit .301, hit 10 home runs, and added 56 RBIs.
Goodwin plays short-stop and also pitches, but has also played the corner infield positions in the past.
In 2022, Goodwin played in the Pecos Independent League and played last season in Quebec with the Frontier League’s Trois Rivieres.
Currently, the Barnstormers have signed three import players. IBL teams are allowed four import players, but the IBL might revisit the rule and allow more imports prior to the beginning of the 2024 season in May.
