Golden Hawks earn silver at St. Catharines tourney

On January 11, the Chatham-Kent Secondary School senior girls volleyball team won the silver medal at the Brock University Women’s Classic in St Catharines.

In the final against Ancaster Bishop Tonnos, the regining OFSAA gold medalists, Chatham-Kent fell 2-0 in the finals.

In the playoffs, the Golden Hawks swept Waterdown 2-0 in the semifinals and defeated St. John’s College 2-1 in the quarter-finals.

In pool play, CKSS won 2-0 versus Christ the King, 2-0 against Holy Cross and split 1-1 with Dundas Valley.

Tournament all stars were Kenzie Lahey and Teya Meredith.
