Goure sets OHL goal and points milestones
Grande Pointe’s Deni Goure hit a couple big juicy milestone in his last OHL regular season game.
Goure scored three goals on |Saturday in a game against Guelph, to finish with 102 in his OHL career. The first goal helped him hit the 100-goal milestone. The second goal was his 250th career point. The third goal? It was just a nice way to end his OHL regular season career with a hat-trick.
Guelph won 7-6 in overtime.
Goure, who is in his fourth and last OHL season, set season highs in goals (36), assists (60) and points (96). Goure was tied for sixth in OHL scoring this season.
The Attack begin the first-round of the playoffs against the Saginaw Spirit on Thursday. It will be a best-of-seven series.
In four seasons with Owen Sound, Goure has played 259 games and put up 251 points. He was a first-round draft pick of the Attack in 2019 after playing for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones AAA team and nine games with the Chatham Maroons.
Undrafted by the NHL, Goure will likely be looking for a professional contract after the playoffs are over.
