The St. Clair College women’s soccer program announced the commitment of Tilbury’s Sierra Lapos. She will be joining the team starting in September 2024.

Lapos is from Tilbury and attended Ursuline College in Chatham where her team were back to back SWOSSAA finalists. Sierra is a 5’3″ midfielder who will be taking the Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Lapos also has a large amount of club experience playing in high level leagues and tournaments. She has played for Windsor TFC and the Liverpool Academy in Michigan.
Lapos is planning on enrolling in St. Clair’s nursing degree program.

“The coaching staff made me feel very welcome and I am looking forward to being challenged to be the best player I can be and helping lead the Saints to a provincial championship,” Lapos said in a statement on the college’s athletic website.

Saint’s head coach, Steve Vagnini said Lapos has been on his radar for the last two years.
“Sierra gives us that smooth, calm, decision maker that will allow us to be stronger in the midfield. I’m looking forward to coaching these players and what they will add to our program”.

The Saints outdoor team finished in second place in the OCAA West Division this past season with a record of 7-1-2. St. Clair won two playoff games to quality for the Final Four Championship where they narrowly missed out on a medal losing in penalty kicks on the bronze medal match to Durham.
