Spence named Stobbs Division defenceman of the year
The Blenheim Blades season is now complete, as they were swept in the PJHL Stobbs Division semifinal by the Essex 73s, four games to none.
Essex won Game 4 by a score of 4-1 on March 17.
In the other PJHL Stobbs Division semifinal, Lakeshore outlasted the Wheatley Omstead Sharks.
Overall it was a strong season for Blenheim. The finished in third place in their division with a 28-12-1-1 record.
Individually, Craig Spence won the Stobbs Division defenceman of the year award. In 36 regular season games, Spence had 25 goals, 49 assists for 74 points.
Spence was in the top-10 for scoring in the 60-team PJHL, and was the second-highest scoring defenceman in the PJHL.
