Bacik named Western Conference defenceman of the year

Chatham Maroons’ captain Blain Bacik, was announced as the winner of the Uni-Fab Memorial Award for “Top Defenceman of the Year”, in the Western Conference by the GOJHL on Monday.

Bacik recorded a total of 33 points in the 2023-24 in 47 games.

Bacik was also named to the GOJHL’s Western Conference first team all-star team. He was also named to as the Chatham-Kent Sports Network’s mid-season MVP for the Maroons earlier this year.
