Aden Ryan named IBL pitcher of the week

The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) announced its HRD Bat Co players of the week for the first two weeks of the season.

Chatham-Kent Barnstormers’ Aden Ryan was named the pitcher of the week for the league’s opening week.

Ryan, who is a native of Tecumseh led the Barnstormers to their inaugural victory by pitching five scoreless innings against the Kitchener Panthers, striking out five and not allowing a single walk.

The Barnstormers (2-3) will be on an extended road trip over the next week, playing in Kitchener on Thursday, in Barrie on Saturday, and in London on Sunday.
