Ursuline Lancers girls rugby advance to OFSAA

The Ursuline Lancers girls rugby team is going to OFSAA.

The Lancers, as the top AAA team in the SWOSSAA region, already had their trip to OFSAA confirmed before the LKSSAA final against the Lambton Central Lancers on May 28 in Chatham.

The Chatham Lancers defeated the Petrolia Lancers 20-7 to win their fourth straight LKSSAA girls rugby crown.

Audrey Gill was chosen Ursuline’s maiden of the match after scoring two tries.

Emmanuella Caleb, Isabella Gray and Megan Beselaere also scored. Payton Ameel kicked two converts.

Ursuline will play at the OFSAA AAA championships in Peterborough June 3-5. Lambton Central will advance to the OFSAA AA/A championships being held in Courtice June 3-5.
