CKSS honours Jordan and Lindley

Zach Lindley and Jessica Jordan were inducted into the James Dean CKSS Sports Hall of Fame in June of 2024.

Jessica Jordan and Zach Lindley were both inducted into the Chatham-Kent Secondary School James Dean Hall of Fame during the recent CKSS athletic awards banquet for their athletic and scholastic efforts while at CKSS.

After her time at CKSS where she was a standout basketball and track and field athlete, Jordan moved on to Fanshawe College and played varsity basketball for the Falcons. Jordan was successful on and off the court in London.

On the court she was a key part of two Fanshawe teams that won OCAA provincial crowns.

She possessed a 4.0 GPA in a tough degree program, and was named a CCAA National Scholar.

Jordan showed her leadership skills organizing the Black Lives Matter Chatham walk. She was a critical part of the Fanshawe Black Lives Matter group who worked to see change at Fanshawe in supporting underrepresented groups.

Jordan also took the lead in working to develop a Black Student Association on campus to promote future positive change.

Jordan is currently the Sports Information Officer at Fanshawe College.

After CKSS, Lindley played football for the Western Mustangs as a linebacker. He was a key member of the Mustangs’ 2021 Vanier Cup winning team and was an OUA all-star.

Lindley played the past two seasons in the CFL with the Montreal Alouettes. In his two years, Lindley stood out as a special teams ace, racing down the field on kickoffs and punts to make tackles.

An eighth-round draft pick of the Alouettes in 2022, Lindley was a longshot to make the Alouettes in his first season, but the team loved his football IQ and tenacity and added him to the roster even though he had two seasons of university football eligibility left.

In 2023 his season was cut short after 11 games due to concussions. He was not cleared to play in the Grey Cup in November, a game Montreal won over Winnipeg.

Lindley retired from the CFL in January of this year due to concussions.
