Roberts jumps to bronze at OFSAA

Ursuline’s C.J. Roberts won bronze in the junior boys long jump at the OFSAA high school track and field championships held in London’s Western Alumni Stadium.

Roberts jumped 6.45 metres on his final jump on Saturday to make it up to the podium.

Last year as a Grade 9, he won silver in novice long jump and triple jump at OFSAA. He was also on the Lancers’ OFSAA silver-medal-winning basketball team.

Roberts, who is a standout football player as well, is planning on attending Ridley College in St. Catharines in the fall for his Grade 11 season, where he will join his older brother Caleb on the Ridley College team.
