Strong named player of the week
For the second time this season, Chatham-Kent Barnstormers slugger Seth Strong was named the Intercounty Baseball HRD Player of the Week.
Strong was named player of the week for July 9-15 by batting .429 (6 for 14) with three Home runs, six runs scored, and six RBIs.
The Ohio native is the top seed in the IBL HR Derby on Saturday, July 20. Strong is currently third in batting average among qualified hitters batting .369, first in HRs with 13, and leads the league in runs batted in with 33.
Honorable mentions went to his teammate Mitsuki Fukuda who batted .400 on the week scoring four runs, two doubles, and three RBI.
