Wiseman returning to Sharks

Chatham’s Brian Wiseman will return to the San Jose Sharks as an assistant coach.

Wiseman has spent the last two years with the Sharks in an assistant coach role.

The Sharks had the NHL’s worst record (19-54-9) last season and fired head coach David Quinn, replacing him with Ryan Warsofsky in April. Two other assistant coaches were also let go.

Prior to joining the Sharks, Wiseman was an assistant coach with the Edmonton Oilers and at his alma mater University of Michigan.
