Port Lambton Pirates OBA U18 ‘C’ champs

The Port Lambton Pirates U18 baseball team won the Ontario Baseball Association ‘C’ championship on the weekend.

The Pirates defeated Listowel 7-5 in the final in extra innings. In the top of the eighth inning, Port Lambton scored two runs with key hits from Lucas Laprise and Cameron Bendo.

In the semifinal, the Pirates won 7-0 over Dorchester, with Will Greer pitching a three-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts.

Port Lambton won their opener 7-0 over LaSalle. Port Lambton won a 21-10 slugfest in their second game over Essex. In their third game, the Pirates beat Listowel 16-6, with Lucas Laprise hitting two home runs.
