Barnstormers playoff schedule set

The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers playoff schedule is now set.

The fifth-place Barnstormers will take on the fourth-place Guelph Royals in a best three-out-of-five playoff series.

The Intercounty Baseball League opening round series kicks off this Friday in Guelph. Game two is scheduled for this Saturday (August 24) at Fergie Jenkins Field at 7:05 p.m.

Game three will be in Guelph on Sunday. If Game four is needed it will take place in Chatham on Tuesday August 27. Game five, if needed, will be in Guelph on Wednesday August 28.

A pair of Barnstormers were among the IBL league leaders this season. Spencer Marcus was second in the IBL with a .365 batting average. Teammate Seth Strong was third with a .344 average.

Strong led the IBL with 16 home runs and was third in RBIs with 37.
