Warriner back coaching hockey in Europe

Todd Warriner

Blenhiem’s Todd Warriner is coaching professional hockey once again in Europe.

Warriner is returning to Germany’s third-tier league, but with a new team. Warriner is coaching the Tilburg Trappers of the Netherlands. Tilburg is the only team in the league that is located outside of Germany.

Warriner, a former Chatham Maroons player, joined the Hannover Indians midseason last year and led them to a 14-7-2 record.

So far this season Tilburg has a 6-2 record.

Warriner played in the NHL for nine seasons after being the fourth overall pick in the 1992 draft. After the NHL, Warriner played in Europe for six seasons—including four in Germany.
