Josling wins gold at provincials

Chatham’s Will Josling won gold at the Skate Ontario Sectional Championships held in Wasaga Beach this past weekend.

A member of the Chatham Skating Club, Josling was competing in the Pre-Novice Men’s category. He now qualifies to represent Ontario at the Skate Canada Trophy being held in Edmonton later this season. Josling is coached by CSC’s Laura Smith, and Brantford’s Alison Purkiss.

Josling. 15, was third after the short program and had a strong performance in the free program to capture the gold.

Last year, Josling won silver at Skate Ontario provincial championships held in Stratford, in the juvenile men U14 division,
