Konecny named to Team Canada’s roster

Clachan’s Travis Konecny was named to Team Canada’s roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off in February.

Konecny, a forward for the Philadelphia Flyers, will play in the mid-season exhibition tournament which kicks off on February 8 and features four countries: Canada, USA, Sweden, and Finland.

This isn’t the first time Konecny has worn the Maple Leaf. He played for the silver-medal-wining team at the 2017 world championship.

He was also on Canada’s 2016 world junior championship team.

The 27-year-old Konecny made his debut for Philadelphia in 2016. He leads the Flyers with 13 goals, 19 assists and 32 points in 28 games.
