Bluebirds hosting Jubenville Memorial game

Saturday January 11 will be a big night for the Tilbury Bluebirds, as they play the Elora Rocks in the third annual Aaron Jubenville Memorial Game.

Jubenville, who died on Christmas day in 2019, was a huge part of this Tilbury community and one of the biggest hockey fans around.

Fans are being asked to bring in can tabs upon entering the game. Tabs brought in will get score-O entries that will take place in between periods. Jubenville was known for collecting pop tabs for Tabs 4 Kids, an organization who uses them for wheelchairs.

The Bluebirds are sitting in seventh place in the Ontario Super Hockey League’s Western Division with an 8-9 record. Former University of Windsor star Dylan Denomme leads the team in scoring with 35 points in 17 games.

Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Tilbury Memorial Arena.
