Josling qualifies for Skate Canada event

William Josling
Chatham Skating Club member, William Josling, has qualified for the upcoming 2024-2025 Skate Canada Trophy event, being held February 6-9 at the Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.
Josling is one of nearly 300 skaters from across the country who will take part.
This new event brings together the former Novice Canadian Championships and Skate Canada Challenge – Pre-Novice/Event events under one umbrella.
The event features Canada’s top up-and-coming talent in Pre-Novice & Novice Men’s and Women’s Singles, Pairs & Ice Dance.
Josling, 15, secured his place for the event, after winning the Pre-Novice Men’s division this past December at the Skate Ontario Sectionals event in Wasaga Beach, Ontario.
This is Josling’s second year competing at the Pre-Novice level and looks to be a promising one; his determination, skill & hard work continues to shine brightly, as he proudly represents Team Ontario on the national stage.
Josling is coached by the Chatham Skating Club’s Laura Smith, and the Brant Skating Club’s Alison Purkiss.
