Holly runs to OUA relay gold

Chatham’s Ryan Holly, a first year athlete on the University of Windsor men’s track team, earned a gold medal with the men’s 4x400m relay team this past weekend at the OUA track and field championships held in Windsor,

Holly ran the opening leg of the relay, which included teammates Ben Tilson,, Mohamad Alkaaby, Noah Waldmann. They finished the race in first with a time of 3:19.25.

Holly finished in ninth place in the men’s 300m.

Holly was Chatham-Kent Secondary School’s male athlete of the year in 2023. At CKSS, Holly qualified for the OFSAA track meet in 2024 in both the 400 meter and as part of the 4×400 relay.

The Lancers will now prepare for the U SPORTS track & field championships in two weeks time. Windsor will play host to the event March 6-8, 2025 at the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse.
