Red Devils announce coaching staff

Wallaceburg Red Devils

As the Wallaceburg Red Devils Junior B team prepares for the upcoming 2025 season, head coach Gord Lilley has rounded out his coaching staff behind the bench.

It’s a very goalie-centric staff, as assistant coaches include former Red Devil players Rob Pollock, Cecil Jacobs, Tye Belanger, Shayne Logan and Noble Jacobs.

The Jacobs brothers played the bulk of their careers as netminders for the Red Devils. Noble played almost 3,500 minutes in his Junior B career (2014-2018), while Cecil played just under 2,600 minutes in net in his career, which spanned from 2016 to 2022. He missed two seasons (2020 and 2021) due to the league being shut down due to Covid.

Rob Pollock played for the Red Devils from 2006 to 2012. According to www.lacrossebible.ca, Pollock is ranked 49th overall in all-time points in the OLA Junior B scoring with 392 points. In all-time OLA Junior B assists, Pollock ranks in the 25th spot (250).

The video/goalie coach will be Tye Belanger. Belanger is a former Red Devils goalie and then played in 103 regular and playoff games in the NLL with Colorado, New England and Vancouver from 2012 to 2018.

Also helping out as an assistant coach and development coach is Shayne Logan. The Thamesville resident is a recent Red Devils player whose last junior season was 2024, where he was a defensive specialist.

Schedule

The Red Devils released their 2025 regular season schedule recently.

Wallaceburg will open their season at home April 26 versus Windsor.

If we want to catch the Red Devils in action do it early, as seven of their first eight games are home games. Conversely, six of their last seven games are on the road. The Red Devils will start the season playing 17 games in a span of 37 days.
