Chatham’s Caleb Roberts was recently named a Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association first team all-star.

Roberts averaged 23.5 points per game, while averaging 4.6 assists and 8.8 rebounds per game for Ridley College, a prep school in St. Catharines.

The OSBA is the top high school boys basketball league in Ontario and likely Canada.

Playing point guard, Roberts was the engine that drove Ridley to an OSBA championship earlier this month.

Ridley has a strong Chatham connection, as Roberts is joined on the team with his brother CJ Roberts and Jaxen Baker.

Ridley was the top team in the OSBA’s Western Conference in the regular season with a 12-3 record.

Caleb Roberts also won a gold medal with Team Ontario at the Canadian 17U boys’ basketball championship last summer.

He played his first two high school seasons with the Ursuline Lancers. This is Roberts’ second season with Ridley.
