McPherson making a hometown visit

Professional hockey player Jessie McPherson is making a visit to her hometown.

McPherson, who signed with the the Professional Women Hockey League’s Toronto Sceptres, will be at Erickson Arena on Tuesday, February 3 from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. She will sign pictures and chat with athletes and fans. The event is organized by the Chatham-Kent Girls Hockey Association

McPherson finished up her five-year NCAA women’s hockey career with Minnesota State. She played the previous four years with Vermont. The 23-year old goalie joined Toronto in the fall. So far this season she has dressed as a backup, but she has not yet seen game action.
