UCC Sweeps The Court In Blenheim

The UCC Lancers Senior Girls Volleyball team swept their way to a tournament title at Blenheim District High School over the weekend.

In round robin play, UCC opened the tournament by defeating John McGregor 25-13 and 26-24. Next, they defeated Blenheim 25-18, 25-18, before ending the round robin with a 25-11, 25-10 win over Ridgetown.

Facing Ridgetown again in the semi-final, the Royals gave the Lancers a tougher fight, but UCC remained perfect winning 25-8 and 25-20.

In the final, UCC faced the John McGregor Panthers, and dominated yet again, finishing the day with a perfect 10-0 record, capped off by a championship win 25-7, 25-15 in the final.

This tournament will serve as the final tune up for the Kent Seeding Tournament which happens this Thursday, February 6.
