Seth Griffith named OHL Player of the Week
Wallaceburg, ON – Seth Griffith continues to shine in the Ontario Hockey League this season. Recently, Griffith was named the OHL’s player of the week for the week ending January 23, adding to his growing noteriety in hockey circles across the globe. Griffith scored 8-points including 2-goals and 6-assists during three wins with his London Knights.
Thus far, Griffith has 41-points in 44 games for the Knights this season. Earlier this month, Griffith was mentioned in the NHL Central Scouting services mid-season rankings. He was ranked 157th amongst North American skaters, although his recent play has undoubtedly boosted that position.
Griffith’s player of the week honour came following a 5-point game in a 6-5 overtime win over the Oshawa Generals. Following a slew of trades in which the Knights dumped many of their veterans for youth and draft picks, and with just over 20 games remaining in the regular season, Griffith and the Knights are climbing the Western Conference standings.
